Beksul Corn Syrup 물엿

CJ CheilJedang are a South Korean food company that manufactures food ingredients and frozen packaged food products. Its core brands include Bibigo, Gourmet, and Hatbahn. Beksul is one of CJ's main popular Korean brands and its name is supposed to mean "glitters like snowflakes", hence the brand's logo. The Beksul brand has been in production since 1963 and has a reputation among Koreans for quality. Beksul's Corn Syrup is used in a lot of Korean dishes, such as stir-fries, braised meats, and grilled dishes. It is useful for seasoning dishes, softening hard textures, adding a shiny glaze, or adding sweetness. Beksul’s Corn Syrup is made from the starch of corn and contains varying amounts of maltose and higher oligosaccharides, depending on the grade. It is great for adding sweet flavour notes to Korean dishes or as a thickening agent in batter or soups.
